Low-key kid at Library Storytime

Again, Sydney woke just before we needed to leave for storytime at the library. Again, he was a rather mellow fellow. He wasn't overly interested in playing with toys and other kids after the story part was over; instead, he was on a mission to see how many unattended sippy cups he could find and attempt to drink out of. Sadly, when mommy filled his monkey cup with water from the drinking fountain, he wasn't all that interested.

Mellow Fellow; kind of an odd change of pace.

This afternoon, we had friends Claire, Lise and Lucy all over for a pool party with neighbor mom Kate and breastfeeding support group mom Kate. Once they were all in the pool, Sydney decided that he wanted to play in the sandbox instead. (Being that he was wet, we kept the sandbox covered and he was forced to play with rocks instead.)

Sydney is in bed. The garbage is to the curb and I am dizzy tonight. Going to go to bed; hope it is just from the heat. Sadly, the 80 degrees outside is cooler than the temperature in our upstairs. Thank goodness for a window air conditioner to help make it a little cooler upstairs since the central air doesn't seem to pull it's weight.
