Despite a small uterus , today's ultrasound showed that Number 2 is growing very well and appears to be quite healthy. So, despite the small uterus, I hide my BIG BABIES well... Number 2 is measuring almost 2 weeks large for his age and weighs in at 4# 12 oz.
What To Expect reports that at 31 weeks, baby will be packing on another 3-5# before delivery and that at 32 weeks, baby should weigh "almost 4 pounds".
They got good views of Number 2 and claimed that he was photogenic. They were able to confirm a nasal bone and rule out cleft lip because they got a good view of his face. During much of the ultrasound, he had 2 hands and a foot near his face. They confirmed that it looks like he has hair on his head already.
In the 3D photo, the raised long lumps on his forehead are fingers, as his hand was resting there. They were having a hard time getting a good image of his nose because it was SMASHED UP against by belly, as if he had it pressed on a window. (These are the better of the 3D images captured today.)
Number 2's stats:
Heart rate 136
4 pounds, 12 ounces = mid-80th percentile
Femur measurements = just under 50th percentile
All other measurements taken, including head size and abdomen size = low-to-mid 90th percentile
BOY PARTS CONFIRMED with one of his testes already descended into position.
Heart looks normal.
Urinary system appears to be in working order.
OVERALL: Number 2 measures almost 2 weeks ahead of schedule for his gestational age.
Mommy's stats:
x+29.4 pounds
110/60 blood pressure
Uterus measures 28-29cm; since I am days away from 32 full weeks, in theory, it SHOULD measure close to 32cm at this time.
59 days to go until May 7th due date.
