We *celebrated Daddy's 41st birthday at our home. Nana & Papa Olson came over for the day, as well as Grandpa Lowell. Sydney helped him open his presents and politely asked if he could help blow out the candles, too.
Sydney was VERY EXCITED to give Daddy the birthday card that he made for him (last month)!
As a family, we made our "birthday cake" on Saturday night, but Daddy did most of the work on it. He cut all of the swiss cake rolls into little slices and layered them in the spring form pan. He also topped the chocolate fudge pudding layer with with cool whip and chocolate shavings. (There's nothing wrong with making MOST OF your own birthday cake, is there?)
Mike appreciated the birthday cards and phone call.
*NOTE: Mike and I celebrated his birthday with a relaxing, child-free dinner on Friday night at Tony Roma's while Emily babysat the boys.
