Sydney pulled the tripod out of the dining room closet today and played with it for quite a while. He liked to pretend that there was a camera on the top of it and kept announcing what he wanted me to say to him. "SAY CHEESE!" was just ONE of those sayings. Then, he wanted ME to pretend to take his picture with the pretend camera perched on top of the tripod, but would get frustrated with me if I didn't say the right thing. After Dad got home from work, Sydney wanted to take HIS picture. So, we secured our fancy camera onto the tripod and we sat nervously on the couch while Sydney attempted to take our picture. Actually, he did pretty darned good! (We tried to get him to join us by using the self-timer, but he wouldn't cooperate with that.)
He also took a picture of Mr. Cretoxyrhina (Dinosaur Train shark) biting my nose; he thought that was HILARIOUS!
We went outside to take a couple of pictures in the leaves, using the self-timer and tripod.
After Silas woke up, we went outside to check on Dad's progress in the yard. There was a light mist, but we managed to get a picture in front of our fall mums that are really starting to take off nicely!
It was fun to experiment with the tripod. I think we'll use it again! It worked like a charm! (Thanks for the tripod, Grandpa!)
