Silas is becoming QUITE the talker! He proudly yells out words ALL. DAY. LONG! (He's become a word explosion this past week or so, saying more and more every day!)
While waiting for the chiropractor to show up for our 9:20 appointment on Tuesday, we were going to walk across the parking lot to go watch the construction equipment. Silas had yelled "DIGGER!" As we walked away from the car, hand-in-hand, he stopped and started walking back toward the car.
"Where are you going?" I asked.
"BEEP!" He announced, pointing at our car.
"We forgot to lock the car?"
He grinned his biggest cheesy grin and nodded his head YES.

At bedtime, we sometimes read "TIME FOR BED". We shorten the version for Silas because he doesn't have the same attention span. PLUS, sometimes, Sydney "reads" it to Silas and he doesn't really remember all of the words.
Instead of "It's time for bed, little goose, little goose. The stars are out an on the loose.", Sydney announces "Ni-night, little goose!"
Tonight, when I got to LITTLE FISH page, Silas hopped out of the recliner and shouted "SWIM!" while demonstrating his swimming skills on the bedroom carpet. (He and Sydney sometimes "SWIM" on the hardwood floors downstairs.)

Silas yells "PHONE!" when it rings now. Sometimes, he holds a toy phone to his head and tries to say "HELLO." Other times, he points to the phone and says "TALK!"
• • •
Silas LOVES to yell BUS, CAR, TRUCK or DIGGER while we are driving in the car. He keeps his eyes peeled.
• • •
While driving past Menards on Tuesday, Silas yelled "DAD!" while pointing excitedly at the building.
• • •
Silas announced "BRELLA" today when it was raining. If we go outside in the rain, he pats his head and announces "HEAD" because we often sing "Raindrops are falling on my head"
• • •
NO! and ME! are new(er) sassy words in his vocabulary.
• • •
Nana and Banana sound the same; both are NANA.
• • •
Silas asks for DAD whenever he wakes up, wondering if he is home or where he is.
• • •
Silas says BEAMER.
• • •
Silas LOVES bubbles in the sink or bathtub and shouts it as clear as a bell! BUBBLE!
• • •
Silas keeps an eye out for neighbors KANK (Frank) and EESA (Lisa) as well as BELLA (the dog), pronouncing those all very well.
• • •
Silas says "kay-ket" for his blanket. He carries it around like the Peanuts character, Linus.
• • •
Uh-Oh! is our most commonly used phrase right now.
• • •
Sydney LOVES to say "Silas, say SALSA!" to which Silas repeats clear-as-a-bell!

OFF, ON, UP, DOWN, CAT, DOG, MEOW, WOOF, BIRD, SWEEP, SWIM, FISH, BEE, STAR, NI-NIGHT, BOOK, BYE, CAR, DISH, sPOON, FORK, ... his list goes on and on...
