This afternoon, we went to the beauty school so that the boys could get haircuts. Sydney has been getting pretty shaggy for quite a while now and was LONG OVERDUE for a haircut and Silas had never had one yet. Silas sported a Fraggle Rock whispy 'do that has been hanging into his eyes and starting to fall into mullet status. SO, we made TODAY be 'THE DAY' for his first haircut!
Thankfully, the instructor was thoughtful enough to encourage our two beauty school students to sit side-by-side so that these brothers could watch each other get haircuts. (That was a HUGE RELIEF and much appreciated by these parents!)
Silas sat on Daddy's lap for his first haircut. He thought it was ALL GOOD, especially since he had his thumb! Mommy entertained him with a squirt bottle filled with water for a little while before he decided that HE wanted it.
A short time later, Sydney decided that HE wanted one, too. Soon, he was squirting water at Daddy. (Daddy warned him that HE WOULD GET BACK AT HIM... and HE DID!) The boys... Daddy included... thought it was kind of fun!
