Also, he is starting to get the hang of PEEK-A-BOO. When his face is uncovered and we say PEEK-A-BOO, he smiles from ear-to-ear, but not a moment sooner.
We're still hard at work, trying to help him gain strength to sit up. He prefers to stand though. Also, when on the blanket, he prefers to be on his back - kicking his feet and flailing his arms while looking around - instead of doing "tummy time" where he is restricted from movement and looking around.
Sadly, we are STILL unable to get him to laugh. We even went onto YouTube, to see if we could inspire him with video clips of laughing babies. He watched, and smiled, but would not laugh. One of these days, I'm sure he will delight us with laughter.
Today, he also enjoyed a new song "Five Little Monkeys" and especially loved the change of voice from "the doctor", which made him smile whenever we got to that part. (Daddy said he had never heard that song before; maybe it was not as common in Iowa as it was in Wisconsin... or maybe it was after he was a little kid that the song came out?)
