We TRIED to talk Sydney into giving up training wheels, but he is NOT ready (yet). Although, we met a neighbor boy who JUST learned how to ride without them and he is zipping super fast (and learned on the soft grass a little more than a month ago.)
Silas ZOOMS on his balance bike so, I had the seat lowered to fit HIM instead, hoping that ONE of the two boys would master bike riding on this trip. However, Silas is not an expert peddler (like Sydney is!) Silas is used to the tricycle that allows you to back up when back-pedaling. If only we could share the fearlessness of Silas and the pedaling skills of Sydney with BOTH BOYS, we would suddenly have a shortage of tiny bikes!
Part of me IS glad that Sydney didn't learn to ride without Daddy being there to witness it. (Although, Daddy works an awful lot.... it will be difficult to work this into summer yet.)
