No mommy, I just woke up

Today, after Sydney woke from his morning nap, I moved Sydney's highchair into the kitchen and strapped him in so he could watch me while I made homemade guacamole.

While in the kitchen, I turned on the CD player and played his nursery rhyme CD that came with one of his nursery rhyme books. As soon as the song TWINKLE TWINKLE LITTLE STAR started to play, Sydney curled his lip and started to cry.

If only he could talk, he would have said "No, mommy... no twinkle, twinkle... I just woke up!"

(At least, we know that he associates that song with bedtime and sleep now. Mission: accomplished.)
