Need medicine, back hurts; thanks daddy

Tonight, at bedtime, Sydney announced "My back hurt. Need medicine."

"Go by Daddy, he'll give you a kiss and will make it all better." I suggested.

"No," he paused. "need MEDICINE!"

"Come here, I'll give you an adjustment." Daddy suggested. (He gave Sydney a BIG HUG.) "Better?"

"No, not better."

"OK, let me try again. Come back!" (This time, Mike had him cross his arms over his chest and Mike hugged him from behind.) "Better?"

They tried a few silly hugs to make his back better. (Little stinker knew that Mommy had complained about her back hurting this past week. The sponge just soaked all of that in!) Earlier in the day, we talked about Silas had some medicine (from the syringe on the counter) for his teeth and Sydney immediately announced "My ear hurts. Need medicine."

It's amazing what kind of ailments he can come up with... knowing that he wants medicine out of the cool syringe.

At bedtime, we discuss "What's the favorite part of your day today?" (Mike told me that giving Sydney his "chiropractic hug adjustment" was the favorite part of his day. It was pretty funny!)
