"I love you" LOGIC

In the middle of the night, we woke from a deep sleep to the sweet sound of Silas saying "Daddy? I love you!"

Daddy mumbled "I love you, too." and walked him back to his bedroom where Silas put himself back to bed.

Mid morning, Silas announced "Mommy, I love you!"

"I love you, too, Buddy!"

Silas and I exchanged smiles.

"Hey? Did you know you woke up in the middle of the night just to tell Dad that?"

"No," Silas clarified "in the middle of the night, FIRST, I woke up. THEN, I thought about it when I was IN my bed. And THEN, I got up to go tell Dad."

"Oh." I grinned.

"YEP! That's because I love Daddy!"
