While Sydney and Daddy attended Sesame Street LIVE, Mommy assembled the new yard decoration that Daddy picked out and had it waiting in the yard when they returned after dark. Sydney LOVED IT!
Throughout the holiday season, Mike took pride in moving Elmo to various places in our yard. Every few days, it seemed, Elmo was on the move. Normally during an afternoon snack or dinner, Mike would excitedly exclaim "Where's Elmo? He moved again? That's crazy!"
Sydney thought it was pretty fun, too!
One cold winter morning, Sydney decided "(L)et's go outside. (L)et's go blow bubbles." He proudly showed Elmo his bubbles before quickly announcing "It's cold outside. (L)et's go bat in now, mommy!"
Sydney pondered "How'd Elmo get up dere? Prob'ly (s)tep (s)tool. No, wait! Prob'ly (s)tep (s)tool not tall nuff. Elmo prob'ly use (l)adder to get out dere. Yeah, prob'ly (l)adder." (We were delighted with his thought process, logic and reasoning abilities.)
Elmo's most recent "field trip" was onto the ladder - peeking into our stairway window. Sydney thought this was pretty fun again and wondered how Elmo got onto the ladder.
He's since announced that "prob'ly daddy put Elmo on (l)adder." as well as "Daddy prob'ly put Elmo on roof by kicken window, too." (He's one smart kid!)
Daddy sure had fun playing WHERE'S ELMO though.
Ah, making fond childhood memories for our children...
