Sid (Science Kid) was playing with a ball of play-dough and was surprised that it did not bounce as he had suspected it to. When he went to school, they talked about it - discovering ELASTICITY. At school, they did an experiment with all different kinds of balls - rubber playground ball, bean bag ball, ping pong ball, etc. - to see how high they would bounce when dropped off of the playground equipment.
Soon, Sydney gathered an armful of balls and climbed a few of our stairs where he proceeded to throw his balls off of the stairway to watch them bounce. I shook my head in pure amazement that at 17 months old, he was paying attention and following along to the science-based kid show on tv. What a smart little cookie!
