Incredible day for MS Awareness

What an incredible day! It had MANY up's and down's, but the end result was... AMAZING!

(I owe $1.00 to the tip jar - in case you watch The Bachelor.)

AND I was THRILLED to see that the local news featured MS Awareness instead of all of the focus being on the viewing party and guest appearance by The Bachelor, Chris Soules.

Here's the only way I can figure out how to share the news segment, but having you follow this link (videotaped with iPad while watching the news... you gotta do what you gotta do!):

Here are some of the pics that my friends have shared. I didn't do much with my camera, but DID get one of him sitting on the bar right before leaving.

For the record, I was NOT able to keep the autographed MuckFest cloth, but it said: GREAT CAUSE!

I did, however, give him my business card and invited him to come to Dubuque's MS Walk in May because we're practically in his backyard already and he draws QUITE a large crowd.

What to wear?

I don't know WHAT to wear for the Bachelor Viewing party. We KNOW that there will be A LOT of media coverage there. Celebrity tv show host AND "the bachelor" himself will likely be there.

Have to wear some ORANGE for MS Awareness.

I love, Love, LOVE mommy trio pictures

This past year, I went through our entire photo library and gathered photo collections of OUR FAMILY OF THREE and OUR FAMILY OF FOUR for every year of our existence together.

{love that!}

This morning, I ran across one that I haven't really noticed before.... one that captures my strength and agility in picking up and carrying BOTH BOYS AT ONCE! (I believe that Grandpa Lowell took and emailed this photo to me, which I have cropped.)

And each time that I see one of my favorite pictures (like this one!) I kind of want to go through and make a collection of MOMMY TRIO photos.

OR this one

OR this

It makes me downright SAD that I have very few photos (of my mom or) WITH MY MOM because SHE was the one behind the camera for most of my life. Because of that, I have resolved to use the self-timer, take self portraits and to ask others to take photos of the boys and I together. I want THEM to have those memories in photo form. If nothing else, it is something that I will treasure!

Speaking of TREASURE, see Mike with his mom and siblings in EXHIBIT A (1977) –

and my family EXHIBIT B (1979) –

I love our silliness and fun times.

I'm super proud to be their mom.

To celebrate LIFE and LOVE with them!

To hang out with THESE TWO GUYS –

Outside –

or IN!

To experience new things

together–

To snuggle and read–

Attempting to capture little moments that make life BIG.

Seriously, one of these days, I think I really DO need to make a MOMMY TRIO collection because... it just make me...

HAPPY!
:)

IF I wanted to start, I'd just have to go back in time to 2011 and start HERE:

Sydney meeting his baby brother for the first time, at the hospital–

and wanting to kiss his baby brother–

Minutes after getting HOME from the hospital – when Sydney used my hospital bracelet to measure my belly, like they had done at the doctor's office for the past nine months–

Days into our journey as a Family of Four–

And as we keep trekking forward on this AMAZING ADVENTURE together!

YEP, that is what I want to do!
