Faulty Toddler Logic re: THUNDERSTORMS/schooldays

This morning, it was dark and gloomy. In fact, I had to WAKE Sydney up to get ready for school, with his breakfast waiting for him at the table. (He's been waking before sunrise lately.) After he ate, I got him dressed (Silas was dressed before Sydney woke up) and we ventured out to the car, where we noticed that the car (and ground) was all wet.

"Looks like it is rainy today." Sydney announces. "Look, those clouds over there might be rain clouds, too. Maybe with thunder in them?" he pondered, pointing to the sky.

We drove to school and I attempted to located the rear wiper switch. (Mission: accomplished.)

When we got to school, Sydney wondered if I had an umbrella in the car and was disappointed when I did not find one. (I found it later in the storage compartment under the floor in the back.)

As we got out of the car, Sydney announced "I don't hear any thunder. I guess it doesn't thunder on school days. No thunder today cuz we're going to school!"

Faulty toddler logic.
Funny.
