Trying to stay off of the naughty list

Now that Sydney just learned to crawl, he decided to take the opportunity to better explore his surroundings. Now that he has crawled off of the shag area rug, he is fascinated with the hardwood floors, the woodwork, the texture of the living room wall, and the plastic plug covers.

THE CHRISTMAS TREE!

Sydney REALLY liked the Winnie the Pooh ornament, which he promptly removed from the tree and put into his mouth. Then, he became interested in the blue and white strings of lights on the tree.

It has been QUITE an interesting day, noticing that he is no longer interested in his toys, but now is intrigued by the world around him. We'll have to work extra hard to make sure that he stays off of the naughty list. (Now, if only we could master a better bedtime routine...)
